An Early Childhood Education major at Treasure Valley Community College, Ashley Massey seems to be in the right field! Little ones gravitate to her smile. Born in Burns and raised in Ontario, the Ontario High School graduate loves animals as much as she does young children.

“I’m a huge animal lover,” she says. “I enjoy my horses and cows; I love agility and training with my dog, Pip.

“My second favorite pastime is being outdoors, and I especially love to go fishing,” she says “Really, I’m happy as long as I am with my dogs and my high school sweetheart, Johnny.”

Ashley may be young, but she has a passion for classic country music – and for French fries. Of course, she also has a passion for working with young children.

“There’s a saying, ‘time spent playing with children is never wasted,’ and I couldn’t agree more,” she says. “I love being affiliated with such a rewarding organization like the Relief Nursery. As long as the kids are smiling, I am smiling. Every kid needs an adult who won’t give up on them and insists they become the best version of themselves they can be; I like having the chance to play that role in our therapeutic classrooms.”
