TVCRN is blessed to have a cook who really loves to prepare tasty, nutritional meals for the children in our therapeutic classes. Tracey Doughty grew up in a family of five children in Portland and still misses the big city from time to time. The mother of two now has two granddaughters – who are about 10 months apart; she loves spending time with these grand-babies.

When she isn’t with her family, Tracey enjoys sewing or doing a variety of crafts. Like any good seamstress or crafter, she is addicted to Pinterest, and has a large room dedicated to crafts and sewing. She has stacks of fabric for the blankets and quilts she makes – and plans to make.

“I love to cook, and I like working here, but I wish I could see the children more often,” she says. “In our old building, I had more interaction with them, but I certainly love the new kitchen here!

Tracey says the two dishes she’s asked to create most often for family gatherings or potlucks are her potato salad and her chicken-broccoli braid.

“I like creating things whether I’m cooking or baking,” she says. “I like it when people like what I’ve prepared; that makes me happy.
